New Song and Music Video.

Jimi's latest release from his ongoing project - A 'bluesy' number with full-on bagpiping finale about the destruction of the manufacturing/textile industry in his home town, Galashiels. Words were written by his late father Kenny McRae. Music by Jimi. Special thanks to guitarist pal Neil Warden for the groovy Pink Floydish 'runs' and drummer/producer David Little of Soundstation Recording Studios in Galashiels for the help bring it all together.

Jimi added: "Also a big shout out to members of Galashiels Ex Service Pipe Band and everybody else who helped in the making of this vid. Braw lads and lassies one and all. Thank you"

This is the sixth 'Youtube' release of new songs and arrangements being prepared for Jimi's latest album project which, in broad terms looks at the Borders where he grew up and also the history and ongoing legacy of the Border Reivers.

Working closely with Neil and David, Jimi is preparing 14 tracks in total. He plans to release one more promo music vid in the next month or so before focusing on finishing and releasing the album.

"Four or five tracks will feature bagpipes" said Jimi. "As well as my own compositions we are taking a look at some of the Border ballads which, of course, are word driven. The pipes are still present, but less is more if you like, this time round."

As well as writing and arranging songs, Jimi has been busy working during 'Lockdown'. His skills as a experienced and highly qualified forklift/telehandler plant operator have been in big demand among engineers involved in specialised and complex builds in North Berwick and Grangemouth.
