A wee video documentary about my recent visit to Murmansk in Arctic Russia to help commemorate

the 80th anniversary of the Russian Arctic Convoys.

 

I found the trip absolutely fascinating on so many levels. This video is a catalogue of personal highlights.

Its 29 minutes long, the longest video I've ever produced for Youtube etc and, indeed, could have been longer.

 

In the current international situation I do understand that my visit to Murmansk may be seen as controversial. However I firmly believe that music, personal contact and reminders of our shared humanity can be a force for good in troubled times.

 

The Russian people were absolutely lovely.
