Jimi just back from Russia tour

 

 

Jimi is back in Scotland after a busy month long tour of the Ryazan and Pskov regions of Russia.

The sell-out 21-date tour, which also included a performance in Moscow, featured Italian singing legend Luca Mennelli and artists from Venezuela, Columbia, China, Serbia, France, Italy and Iran. 

The tour was entitled 'Here We Stand' - an International Festival Against the Cancellation of Russian Culture.

In this video clip from November 11, Jimi is joined on stage in the town of Mickhaylov, Ryazan Oblast by musicians from Venezuela, Colombia, Russia and Iran for a rousing, show-finale rendition of the famous WW2 anti-Nazi song 'Katyusha'.

Jimi will be adding more videos and pics from the tour over the coming days including footage of a pre-tour performance in the Siberian city of Omsk and also a duet with Luca Mennelli in the ancient Russian city of Pskov. 

Luca and Jimi are now good friends and they will be performing together again at more shows in Russia this coming December and January. Luca is keen for Jimi to join him in his home city of Venice for a special performance next Spring.
